The Rushville Cottage of La Jolla is a charming Nantucket style cottage, only three and a half blocks to the beach, and a three minute drive to the well known La Jolla Cove. This home was renovated in January 2008 and has all new hard wood flooring, new marble kitchen countertops with appliances and new furnishings. The Rushville Cottage is a warm and comfortable 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with a living room, dining room and extra family room area. The living room is fully equipped with beautiful couches and furniture, mock fireplace, television with full cable channels, DVD player, a telephone for local calls and direct access to the back yard.

The full kitchen has lots of counter space and is complete with brand new stainless steel double oven, dishwasher and microwave. In addition there is a gas range stove top and full size refrigerator. This home comes complete with all dishes, glassware, utensils, coffee pot, toaster, blender, and all kitchen utensils and small appliances necessary to prepare any meal.

Just off the kitchen area is the family room complete with leather couch and chairs for relaxing and socializing plus lots of fun games and toys for kids to enjoy.

The master bedroom is very private, just off the entry way at the front of the house. This room has a queen size bed, flat screen television with full cable channels, open closet space and attached private bathroom with tiled standing shower. The second bedroom is at the back of the house and also has a queen size bed, cable television as well as a large closet space with mirrored doors and direct access to the second bathroom. The third bedroom has two twin beds, mirrored closets and a door that leads into the back yard. An additional air mattress can be provided upon request to create sleeping space for two extra guests. All linens (sheets, pillows, blankets, bath towels, beach towels) are provided.

The Rushville Cottage has a very private and quiet, fully enclosed back yard full of native plants and a fruit bearing tree. This space is an ideal space for kids to play or for barbeques and outdoor dining. There is an outdoor table and chairs and gas barbeque for you to use while enjoying the warm summer evenings. A full size washer and dryer are located in the home for your convenience.

There is high-speed internet access throughout the property for your laptop computer. We also provide adult size beach cruiser bicycles, boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler so you can enjoy the area the way we locals do. For families with small children, we provide a high chair and pak-n-play crib. Upon request we can also provide additional baby items such as a full size crib, jogging stroller, bed rails, noise monitor, etc.

In addition, we offer full concierge services. You can order discounted attraction tickets, food and dairy products to be delivered to the home prior to your arrival. We can set dinner reservations or tee times for you, and we can help you with planning any other activity or special request you may have.

This home also does not offer designated parking, however there is ample parking on the street in this quiet residential neighborhood. This home has forced air heating but does not have air conditioning.
