The Island Paradise Cottage is a picturesque getaway for romance or for the family. This immaculately preserved and restored 1929 beach bungalow is in pristine condition just steps to Mission Bay Park and across the street from Belmont Park and the Pacific Ocean. Boasting a rare full lot with 2 car garage and third dedicated packing space, you’ll enjoy complete privacy. Tastefully furnished with luxury accoutrements, the home features the conveniences of today with along the coziness of days gone by. This truly is a unique and special home.

Everything you need for a memorable San Diego vacation is here, including a full size washer/dryer and high speed wireless internet. If you wish to cook in rather than eating at one of the many tasty restaurants within a short walk, the cottage has a fully appointed kitchen: full size refrigerator, stove and oven, dishwasher, disposal, microwave, pantry, coffee maker, blender, toaster, etc. For when you wish to head out, grab one of the Ocean Kayaks, boogie boards, surf board, bicycles, beach towels, and beach umbrellas from the garage. All this without ever facing the hassle finding parking or sharing common areas.

The bedroom suite invites you to rest in a comfortable Select-Comfort queen bed, where you can relax and maybe finish that novel after a “hard day” on the beach. The living room features two full-size sleeper sofas providing additional sleeping for up to four more guests. You can sit back in front of the top-of-the-line gas-insert fireplace for heat or ambiance and watch a show on the large flat screen TV. In front of the cottage, you have access to your own oversized enclosed patio with outdoor seating and tropical vegetation.

During the day walk, bike, or skate along the miles and miles of boardwalk taking in the sights. If you enjoy being on the water you can take the kayaks out, go fishing, rent a sailboat or take surfing lessons. Half a block away, you will find Belmont Park, featuring the Giant Dipper, an historic 1920’s wooden roller coaster, two wave machines, the public Mission Beach Plunge pool, beach shops, restaurants as well as other area eateries and the local color offered at nearby pubs. At night, take a ride across Mission Bay in the Bahia Belle, a Mississippi-style sternwheeler featuring cocktails music and dancing or lay on the sand admiring twinkling city lights at night and the Sea World firework show every evening during the summer. If you are in need of a relaxing, comfortable vacation, you can’t go wrong with renting this home.

We also provide adult size beach cruiser bicycles, boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler so you can enjoy the area the way we locals do. For families with small children, we provide a high chair and pak-n-play crib. Upon request we can also provide additional baby items such as a full size crib, jogging stroller, bed rails, noise monitor, etc.

In addition, we offer full concierge services. You can order discounted attraction tickets, food and dairy products to be delivered to the home prior to your arrival. We can set dinner reservations or tee times for you, and we can help you with planning any other activity or special request you may have.
