The MCAS Miramar Air Show
The world's best military and civilian pilots will soar through San Diego's skies at the world famous MCAS Miramar Air Show the weekend of October 3-5, featuring the Navy’s Blue Angles, the Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier, Air Force F-16 and the Navy's F-18 E/F Super Hornet! Fashion Week San Diego
Fashion Week San Diego is the world's only bi-national fashion week. Slated for fall 2008, the inaugural event will highlight the fashion industry that thrives in Southern California, presenting designers from both the United States and Mexico. "This in-depth look at Southern California's fashion industry is absolutely unprecedented," explains Allison Andrews, president of Fashion Week San Diego. "A seamless display of a fashion culture that knows no borders will mesmerize San Diego this fall." Fashion Week San Diego 2008 will be held Sept. 28 – Oct. 5, 2008. The event will be held at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina in a permanent tent that holds more than 3,000 people. Port of San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade
The scenic, bayside streets of downtown San Diego will come alive with the 2008 Port of San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade, presented by San Diego County Credit Union, a Pacific Life Holiday Bowl Production. As always, this exciting family event brings together world-class marching bands, magnificent floats, entertaining drill teams, and a procession of enormous balloons-more than any other parade! Over 100,000 street-side spectators will enjoy the parade along with a nationwide television audience. Parade festivities will begin in the television area with the finals of the 13th annual Wienerschnitzel Wiener Nationals and the Bumble Bee Foods 5K.
