San Diego is the proud home of The Chargers professional American Football team. Members of the Western Division of The American Football Conference in the National Football League, The Chargers have been a part of San Diego since 1961. Currently the only professional football team in Southern California, fans from far and wide enjoy cheering on our home team at Qualcomm Stadium, easily accessed from major freeways or by San Diego Trolley. Pre-season games take place in the early part of August and the regular season extends until the Super Bowl in mid February.
